Uttiramerur Vishnu temple, Tamilnadu
Enroute to Vandavasi from Chennai. Uttiramerur is described extensively in the ancient literature. A few temples in this town are under the control of the Archeological survey of India. The most popular temple is the Vishu temple which is 4 tiered. The Lord can be seen in all states – Standing, Sitting and sleeping. Even if you have a remote interest in architecture and sculpture, this temple is a must visit.
