Mantra Booklet of Sri Govinda Damodara Swamigal – Angarai Periva

Lots of people say that it is difficult to find true saints these days and world is filled with only fake ones. This is far from true. There have been people who lived amidst us, till very recently who were the perfect epitome of sainthood. But they gave no publicity for themselves. Media doesn’t talk about them.

One such person, was Sri Govinda Damodara Swamigal who was known as Angarai Periva or Triplicane Periyava. His life history can be seen in detail, in the Tamil document below:

He was fortunate to deliver lectures on Sri Ramayanam and Sri Bhagavatam in front of the Kanchi Maha Perivaya for several years. Inspite of his severe financial difficulties, he never charged for his lectures.He shed his mortal coil in 2004 and his Jeeva Samadhi (Adhistanam) is there in Pazhoor near Trichy on way to Karur.
