Temple for childless people – Kameswara Shiva Temple,Madavilagam,Madurantakam, Tamilnadu

This temple is located in Cheyyur Taluk, Near Maduranthagam,Chennai. he presiding deity is Lord Tiru Kameswarar and there are shrines for ambaal (Kokilambikai), Vinayaka, Muruga,Sage Vyagrapatha and other deities.  This temple is more than thousand years old and was built by a childless king was later blessed with a child by the Lord. As the name of the Lord suggests(Kama -Eswara), he blesses childless couples. The temple is currently in very bad state and needs serious repairs and maintenance. The main festival of this temple is on Panguni Uttiram.

Directions:

It is 12 kms from Cheyyur  near Maduranthagam, TamilNadu. Bus route is 12A from Mathuranthagam, Share autos are available from Pavunjur via Kalkulam. Other route is via ECR/OMR. From ECR/OMR, go to Kalpakkam from there take Anaikattu route to Kalkulam. Temple is 1 km from Kalkulam.
